Jan led the Hoofers on a pleasant hike in the foothills of the Manzanita Mountains in the Cedro Peak Region. The loop hike was 5.3 miles along the Blue Ribbon Trail, joining the Gnasty Trail and returning on the Otero Canyon Trail. (This is called the Otero Canyon East Loop) The total elevation gain was 557 feet, with an easy 6% grade for a total uphill workout of 993 Feet.
I was unable to hike due to personal reasons, but Barb was kind enough to send a few pictures just for our blog record! Thanks Barb!

| Barb can be seen as a mere shadow of herself. I can not ID the flowers in the picture |
| More flowers I can't ID due to the shadow...(and you thought my job was easy!!!) |
| Missy walking down the aisle... oops wrong story |
| Fendler's Bush this year they are plentiful |
| I tried to ID this by color and leaves but could not find anything that was positive enough to say either way |
| Probably a HedgeHog cactus or Claret cup |
So here is one hike for the record. Everyone had a great time because being outdoors is better than anything else--and good friends make it even better! Keep on Hoofing!
