Snow Shoe Hike on Oso Corridor Trail off Tree Spring Trail 1/16/15

Our first snowshoe hike of the new year.  Snow is scarce but the north slopes of the Sandia Mountains give us just enough to  make a snowshoe hike worthwhile.  Nine Hoofers show up to hike, but a miscommunication separated us with half hiking Ellis trail and our leader and our photographer hiking Oso Corridor Trail...
Moi Photographer extraordinaire!

Brigitte, Our leader Pat, Judy A. and Betty Temple....missing and hiking on Ellis: Jane, Kathleen, Jan and Jean P.

My second attempt of the group with Brigitte still not cooperating with me.

Finally a photo worth framing!

Views along the Oso Corridor Trail

Attempting an over the head shot of those behind me ...that is the top of my head

The snow was glistening in the sunlight

Shadows and animal footprints

Behind the shoulder shot...I am getting talented now.

Every snowshoe hike has at least one stop for a snowshoe adjustment

View of the road up the mountain from the trail

South side of the mountain with no snow--at least not enough for snowshoeing!
Our wayward hikers Jean P. Jane, Kathleen and Jan.  We missed having you along on our hike!!
Final view of the trail on our way back down the mountain...a beautiful day for snowshoeing!!!
