Summer Luncheon for the Hoofers 6/9/2017

Four times a year we gather to eat...well, we actually eat at other times, but at these luncheons we gather to celebrate by eating, drinking, and singing to the Birthday Ladies for that quarter... after all, we are all getting older and we are all still together and most of us are still hiking...and that is reason to celebrate!  This time we are at Frances' house!  Thanks to Frances for her hospitality!  (*color me embarrassed* the Spring Luncheon was at my house....and I forgot to take the pictures as I was so busy being the hostess with the mostess, but it was similar to this one, we ate, we drank, we sang!)  Salads are the only things on the menu, along with Pat's famous bread, and since we are such fun people we even eat desserts!

Jane and Frances---The significance of the Dollar Bill.  When Jane was on the last maintenance hike she found a 5 dollar bill, so with her generous heart, she decided to give a $1 to each hostess of the 5 luncheons this year (Christmas evening party is the fifth one)  The only caveat is that the Hostess can not spend the dollar all in one place!  :(
